The Vandoren B40 profile 88 mouthpiece is a great variation on the standard B40 mouthpiece. With the profile 88 beak, it allows a more comfortable playing position. With a medium long and an intermediate tip opening, this mouthpiece has been designed for use with softer reeds so is great if this is your first upgrade. Designed in collaboration with Jean-Paul Gauvin (Vandoren’s main mouthpiece designer) the B40 has a strong robust feel, allowing for an excellent dynamic range and focused tone. This mouthpiece is suitable for playing many different genres of music and is a firm favourite of beginner, intermediate and professional clarinettists.
