Yamaha YFL 472 flute with open keys, e-mechanism and offset-G configuration is an upper mid-range flute by Yamaha. Yamaha 400 Series flutes feature a head joint, body and foot joint completely made of sterling silver (92.5% Sterling). This makes for a rich, warm tone with enhanced projection compared to lower series.

Yamaha intermediate model flutes share similar designs with Yamaha's Professional series and incorporate many of the same features, yet are available at a lower cost due to innovative manufacturing techniques. They offer surprisingly high quality for their price.
