The Yamaha 6" 9000 Series Double-Headed Concert Tom is designed with a proportional depth x diameter ratio in mind to maximize the resonance and depth from the 6-ply oak shell. The oak wood has a dense, dark character with a certain sense of 'fatness' desirable in art music.

This drum is equipped with the YESS III Mounting System that prevents vibrations from getting absorbed into the stand by allowing the drum to 'hang in the air' - the mount is not drilled into the shell. This increases resonance greatly.

This drum is very widely tunable to provide the kind of sound the conductor is looking for. As a final touch, the shell is finished in a gorgeous Darkwood Stain that looks great anywhere.

The tom ships with a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head and Ultra Clear resonant head.
