KATO optimized the structure and volume of ULT dynamic driver and acoustic cavity through FEA finite element simulation combined with repeated experimental verification, so as to achieve unparalleled linear distortion performance. It displays outstanding in both amplitude-frequency response and phase-frequency response, so that timbre and soundstage get better restored. We developed a brand-new Spring Tips silicone ear tips for further optimizing the timbre of KATO, which not only improve the wearing comfort and prevent the sound leakage, but also inhibit the weak resonance of the sound outlet of the ear tips, improving the high- frequency linearity and bringing a more natural timbre. 

Optimized Driver and Acoustic Design
The KATO's dynamic driver and acoustic cavity are carefully optimized using advanced simulation methods (FEA), leading to minimal distortion. This ensures clearer sound, better timbre (the character of sound), and a more realistic soundstage. The KATO provides outstanding performance across various sound metrics, including frequency response and distortion. It has incredibly low harmonic distortion (less than 0.05% in many frequencies) and a natural, harmonious sound, even at high volumes. This results in a smooth, lifelike listening experience, free from harsh or stiff sound often found in other dynamic or hybrid drivers.

Modern Design with Light and Shadow
The KATO features a stylish, modern design that plays with light and shadow, continuing the aesthetic style from previous MOONDROP models like Kanas and KXXS.

New ULT Dynamic Driver
The KATO uses a newly developed 10mm ULT dynamic driver that includes a better magnetic circuit and improved airflow. This driver delivers detailed, dynamic sound with very low distortion.

DLC Composite Diaphragm
The driver features a 3rd generation DLC (diamond-like carbon) composite diaphragm, which enhances high-frequency extension, dynamic range, and transient response. It significantly reduces distortion compared to earlier models.

Balanced Acoustic Tuning
The front cavity of the KATO is carefully designed for balanced sound using FEA simulations, ensuring an excellent frequency response and high-frequency clarity.

Replaceable Nozzles
The KATO comes with interchangeable nozzles made of steel and brass. Users can easily switch them to change the sound character or replace blocked nozzles. A third-generation anti-blocking filter prevents earwax from clogging the nozzle, maintaining clear sound quality, especially in the mid-high frequencies.

The KATO comes with Spring Tips that reduce high-frequency distortion and improve comfort by fitting better in the ear canal without feeling sticky.
