The Soundgear Mezzo or SR Mezzo series basses feature medium scale 32 inch (812mm) necks.The SRMD205 features a double-cutaway poplar body bolted to a maple neck with a 22 fret maple fingerboard with black dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Dynamix passive pickups mounted in a white pearloid pickguard with a Jazz pickup at the bridge and a Precision pickup at the neck and an Ibanez 2 band EQ, a B10 bridge with 18mm string spacing, a plastic nut and Ibanez tuning machines.

The SR Mezzo's 32 inch scale neck is 2 inch shorter than that of the general Ibanez SR models, but the Mezzo stills delivers a powerful low end.
