Rockschool will be hosting a series of teachers’ events on 12 January 2026 in Penang, bringing together music educators, guitar teachers, drum teachers, piano teachers, and music school representatives for a meaningful day of learning, syllabus updates, and teaching development.
These sessions are designed to support teachers who are preparing students for Rockschool exams, while also providing practical teaching ideas that can be applied in lessons.
Free Guitar & Drums Teachers’ Seminar
The Free Guitar & Drums Teachers’ Seminar will be held on 12 January 2026 at LBS Music World.
This seminar is perfect for teachers who want to better understand Rockschool guitar and drum exams, teaching methods, exam preparation, and student development. It is especially useful for educators who are looking for clearer guidance on how to prepare students confidently for their Rockschool graded exams.

Rockschool will also be hosting the Pop Piano Pedagogy Workshop on the same day, focusing on the New Piano Syllabus 2025.
This practical workshop is designed to make the new syllabus easier to teach, even for teachers from a classical background. It aims to help piano educators better understand pop piano teaching approaches, exam requirements, lesson planning, and how to guide students through modern music styles more effectively.
