Performance Live! Fest 2026: Young Talent Shines at Sunway University!
Performance Live! Fest 2026 took place on 8 August 2026 at Sunway University, Sunway Square, bringing together young musicians, families, teachers and music enthusiasts for a celebration of musical talent and live performance.
The event provided participants with an opportunity to showcase their musical abilities, gain valuable performance experience and receive feedback from professional adjudicators.
LBS Music World was pleased to be part of the event, showcasing NUX electronic drum kits and digital pianos and providing visitors with opportunities to explore and experience musical instruments.
Celebrating Young Musical Talent
Performance Live! Fest provided a platform for musicians of different ages and experience levels to perform in front of an audience and demonstrate their musical progress.
The festival featured music performance categories covering various instruments, allowing participants to present prepared pieces while developing their confidence, technique and stage presence.
Beyond the performances, the event encouraged participants to learn from one another, appreciate different musical styles and gain experience performing in a competitive environment.
Exciting Drum Performances
One of the highlights of the event was the series of live drum performances presented by young drummers.
Performing on an acoustic drum kit, participants demonstrated their rhythm, coordination, timing and musical expression through their prepared pieces.
These performances allowed the audience to appreciate the dedication and practice required to develop strong drumming skills.
Performing on stage also gave the young musicians an opportunity to build confidence and become more comfortable expressing themselves through music.
Hands-On Experience with NUX Electronic Drums
Alongside the live performances, visitors had the opportunity to explore NUX electronic drum kits at the event's instrument display area.
Children and adults were able to experience electronic drumming firsthand, discovering how digital drum technology provides a practical and engaging way to practise and develop rhythmic skills.
The hands-on sessions encouraged participants to explore different playing techniques while experiencing the responsive playing surfaces and sound capabilities of electronic drum kits.
These activities also offered beginners and aspiring drummers an opportunity to become more familiar with electronic percussion instruments in an interactive environment.
Exploring NUX Digital Pianos and Keyboards
The event also featured a display of NUX digital pianos and keyboards, allowing visitors to experience digital piano playing firsthand.
Attendees were invited to try the instruments and explore their sound, keyboard response and playing experience.
The display introduced participants to modern digital piano technology and demonstrated how digital instruments can support music learning, home practice and personal enjoyment.
By providing opportunities to interact directly with the instruments, the event helped visitors gain a better understanding of the different musical options available to them.
Recognising Musical Achievement
Performance Live! Fest also celebrated the achievements of participating musicians through performance assessments and awards.
Participants were evaluated on important musical elements such as technical control, fluency, musical expression and stage presence.
The award presentations recognised the effort and dedication of the performers, giving them a meaningful sense of achievement and motivation to continue developing their musical abilities.
These experiences highlighted the importance of providing young musicians with opportunities to perform, receive feedback and celebrate their progress.
