The Puzzle LE is a beautifully crafted guitar that not only looks very unique, but the tone is quite unique as well due to its solid flamed maple back and sides, giving it a brighter tone and appearance. Inspired by special characteristics of the puzzle pieces, the headstock and the rosette puzzle patterns represent the rigid and tightness of a completed puzzle while the fretboard shows randomly laid out puzzle pieces that represents more freedom. SFX Deep Body Type

While the body silhouette is from Cort’s own SFX body type, The Puzzle LE is given a deeper body depth of 91-106mm (normal SFX body depth: 83-83mm) for a bigger fuller sound and resonance.

Solid Adirondack Spruce Top

For the Limited Edition models, only the highest grade woods (Master Grade) were used and Adirondack Spruce fits the bill with its strength and extreme dynamics and sensitivity. Even at full volume, you will still be able to hear smoothness in the tone without losing any definition.

Solid Flamed Maple Back & Sides

Flamed Maple is like a combination of the low-mids of mahogany, and the rich overtones of rosewood. This versatility makes Flamed Maple stand out for both fingerstyle playing or strumming as well as being a perfect match for the spruce top.

Special Designed Puzzle Inlay & Rosette

Inspired by special characteristics of the puzzle pieces, the headstock and the rosette puzzle patterns represent the rigid and tightness of a completed puzzle while the fretboard shows randomly laid out puzzle pieces that almost look like the pieces are floating in free space. When the guitar is held upright, it gives an illusion that the puzzle pieces are falling from the headstock and in to the sound hole.

The maple neck provides a brighter punchier tone than the conventional neck materials such as mahogany, and walnut is used to provide strength and stability of the neck, as well as produce a strong and focused sound in conjunction with the body’s acoustic resonance.
